WHere is a home-style version of a beverage found on the seasonal cocktail list. This is a batch premix that is packed with flavours of a holiday season, rendering it ideal for hosting a holiday party. Any leftover cordial for breakfast cocktails, puddings, or to mix more rounds of bikinis.
The Bikini Cocktail
Serves 10 people
Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (makes 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
For the Citrus Syrup: Combine all the ingredients into a saucepan, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the heat and let it to reach room temperature completely. Transfer into a sealable bottle, cap it keeping it chilled, it will last for up to four weeks.
To make Cocktail Base: Pour the specified liquid ingredients into a big jug, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then strain best through cheesecloth, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
For serving: Add 85ml of your cocktail base to a stirring glass filled with ice, and agitate carefully for a minute to chill. Pour into a chilled martini glass or similar, decorate with some cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
