According to new allegations from a whistleblower, Ghislaine Maxwell, now completing a two-decade sentence for sex-trafficking crimes, is allegedly readying a clemency request for review by the presidential administration.

Special Treatment Alleged at Federal Prison

House Democrats on the judicial oversight panel announced that a whistleblower provided evidence indicating the inmate is working on the clemency petition. Additionally, they mentioned she has been receiving special treatment at the federal prison camp in the Lone Star State.

Representative Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the committee, declared in a news release that the facility's chief was assisting Maxwell with document preparation and submission to aid her effort for executive mercy.

Specific details of the clemency request remain unclear, Raskin added.

Claimed Perks and Special Accommodations

Raskin states that, per the insider, Maxwell has been given specially prepared food that are “personally delivered” to her cell, and the supervisor has individually organized private meetings for her and her guests.

The visits allegedly include a “special cordoned-off area” for attendees and “an assortment of snacks and refreshments” for her associates.

Those visiting Maxwell were also reportedly permitted to bring computers, which the congressman characterized as an “unprecedented action” given the potential danger and potential for unmonitored communications.

In one alleged instance, when phone lines went down for other prisoners, Maxwell was given specific instructions about instructing her contacts to call and how personnel would relay the call to her.

Supervisor Acting as Assistant

The source also allegedly told House Democrats that when the convict wanted to examine and modify papers “quickly”, she reportedly employed the warden as her private aide.

The statement indicates that Maxwell’s correspondents would send files directly to the supervisor, who would provide them to Maxwell, who would review and edit them and provide them back to the warden to digitize and send to the initial correspondent.

Extra Benefits Reported

Further perks allegedly granted to Maxwell include opportunities to interact with a service dog puppy – a benefit typically prohibited – as well as exclusive nighttime use to the prison exercise area.

Her legal counsel did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the insider's allegations.

Through a spokesperson, the presidential office said that it “will not discuss” on potential clemency requests.

“As President Trump has stated, granting clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell is not something he has thought about,” the spokesperson noted.

Recent Background

Recently, it was reported that she told friends and family in electronic messages that she was “much happier” at the Texas facility than her previous prison.

In August, she was transferred from a low-security prison in Florida's capital to the less restrictive prison in Texas, where most inmates are incarcerated for financial and non-violent crimes.

This move, which experts described as exceptional, occurred just days after she was questioned about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation by the senior justice official, Todd Blanche, who also once acted as Donald Trump's personal lawyer.

That interview came as the Trump administration was facing increasing scrutiny to disclose additional files related to the Epstein investigation and amid intense speculation around the President's own personal ties to the disgraced financier and adjudicated criminal, who was found dead in a New York jail in that year while awaiting prosecution on sex-trafficking charges.

Lawmaker Reactions

Through the statement, Raskin also announced that he had dispatched a communication to Trump, demanding answers about the insider's claims, and urged the chief executive to deny Maxwell’s commutation request.

“You should not grant any type of pardon to this adjudicated and remorseless criminal,” the representative stated in the letter. “The government must not offer her with personal amenities, with canine interaction, with federal law enforcement officials waiting on her every need, or with any special treatment or facility benefit at all.”

The congressman asked that Blanche appear for a open legislative session to discuss the revelations and also presented several inquiries to the President.

He inquired whether he had talked about a potential commutation for the convict with Blanche or others, whether he had directed him or anyone else to provide Maxwell with the move or favorable and preferential treatment in prison, and whether Maxwell, her lawyers, family or representatives have made any promises to the President or his attorneys.

The representative requested for a response to the inquiries by 24 November.

Last month, the nation's highest court rejected an petition from the convict on her sex-trafficking conviction.
